WHY PRODUCTION OF SPW WAS STOPPED

I
was sent a letter by WCW that also sent to Vin at the Hell Hole. The
letter from WCW was called a "cease-and-desist" letter, listing my
legal offenses that I was unaware of and their legal demands. The
letter basically is a warning that threatens to take legal action if
the demands aren't met. I've posted the letter (with CENSORSHIP and
PRIVACY granted to parties included in the letter) to help the visitors
better understand what these letters are about.

The
letter was respected 100% by Vin and I, so I have eliminated the WCW
copyright infringments by completely eliminating the game. This warning
brought my attention to other copyright infringments I was violating on
other companies.
WHY DIDN'T I JUST TAKE OUT THE WCW CHARACTERS?
..because
I have other copyright violations from: WWF, ECW, Comedy Central, Trey
Parker and Matt Stone (along w/ WCW's). If I were to just throw out the
WCW aspects of the game and continue selling it, I could be caught by
the other large corporations. If so, it could be considered a "second
offense" and ultimately lead to a nasty lawsuit.
WHAT HAPPENS WITH ALL OF THE MONEY NOMAD RECIEVED?
Clients
who ordered South Park Wrestling will recieve $5 billed refunds. I
don't have to refund each person because no agreement was signed for me
to deliver my end of the bargain. However, I respect their business and
plan to carry out my moral duties. $5 bills will be sent to each person
who ordered SPW. All addresses from clients have been saved so denying
of receiving the refunds will not be regarded. Uncashed checks will
simply be returned to clients. Refunds will be sent out this weekend
unless otherwise posted.
South Park Wrestling was being
marketed on such a small scale that WCW nor WWF nor ECW nor Comedy
Central could consider it "unfair competition." However, I have been
snitched out by one of my rivals. I lose a net amount of money from
this from the refund's postage. I am not concerned about the loss of
money-- I am just dissapointed that I couldn't deliver what people
ordered for.
WILL I RELEASE THE GAME FOR FREE?
Do the people deserve the game after I was snitched out by the people? |
