That's right, people. You read the title correctly. Finally, after over two months since Junkman retired from his administrative position, we have a replacement... two replacements, as a matter of fact. Please welcome to the staff, our new forum admin and site operator RFI, and our new forum moderator Knuckles Owns GC!!!  Both have been in the community for years - but I'm sure anyone who visits the forums will be very familiar with the two of them. If you're not, check out their write-ups on our staff page. With some three years of contributions to the forums under his belt, we've always felt Knuckles Owns GC would be the perfect choice for a moderator, and it'd be nice to have a non-game-maker in charge to balance things out a bit. While he will be taking over Junkman's moderating powers, RFI will be more in charge of the technical side. Having made some considerable contributions to the community recently, such as his SPGtv shows, and brilliant (and insanely abstract) games like Touched, we'd had RFI in mind for a higher position on the forums for a long time now... It was when he recently started up his own website that he proved himself more than capable of becoming an operator for our site and forums. So, two very notable members of the community have become two very powerful members of the community... And for all those worthy contributors who missed out, take comfort in the fact that it was NOT an easy decision to make. Still, feel free give your congratulations to them, and hopefully, with more people on board, The South Park Gaming Archives can continue to grow and prosper like it has the past 19 months. Hah. Well, I can assure you that I'll be the ying to RFI's yang, so we should find a nice balance. Only the off-topic section will become communist-run.  On an interesting side note, RFI and Knuckles Owns GC's member numbers are 5 and 6. Mine's 4, meaning that they registered just after me (Junkman and Stanster before me, and Prism's 8, though he registered on the same day, too). Nice to see that all of our staff members have been with these forums since Day 1... |

Most of our really retarded members like Martin Vogel and Bloodbird have been banned... Seriously though, there were quite a few people up for consideration, but we wanted a member who'd been in the community for at least two years, and someone who was following SPG quite closely, so that immediately disqualified quite a few people. I know I was considering The Dude for a while, but I felt he hadn't been in SPG long enough, and as smart as I know he is (from his games, engines, etc.), the way he types doesn't exactly send a good example to new members. Stanimation was also high on the list last year, but after randomly disappearing for four months, and the fact that he's rarely ever around anymore, he didn't seem reliable enough at the moment. Same goes for Shade - he's been in the community long enough and is highly trusted by myself, Junkman and Stanster, but he's just not involved enough or on often enough to be put in charge. Anonymous would've made a good choice - he'd also been in the community for a while, sent in dozens of old, long-lost games to the site, wrote several reviews and contributed some great stuff to the board, but randomly disappeared last year, so... yeah. Still, point remains, I don't think you're giving our members enough credit. Go read the South Park Studios board - it makes this place look like MENSA. |

Meh, I would have probably denied the offer anyway, moderatings a pain and I allready admin TGP, a lot of decisions required to do it right. And yeah my typing does let me down, hence why im being a computer games programmer and not a write...
Not that this matters anymore, Bemers made the choice so well done to both of them...
