I was considering posting this in the 401 Pre-Release Discussion thread, but it is pretty important, and I'd like to see what the rest of the community thinks first. Given how many shows we have lined up for 401, and the fact that I now have more time to work on SPGtv, I'm heavily considering changing Season 4's line-up from three installments to four installments.

Here's how things would turn out if we had three installments:
401 - JULY 2006 RELEASE
402 - NOVEMBER 2006 RELEASE
403 - MARCH 2007 RELEASE (Season 5 would them premiere in July some-time)

And with four installments
401 - JULY 2006 RELEASE
402 - OCTOBER 2006 RELEASE
403 - FEBRUARY 2007 RELEASE
404 - MAY 2007 RELEASE (Season 5 would then premiere in August some-time)

As you can see, I've fudged the dates so that show-makers would only lose 2-3 weeks' worth of time to work on their shows, rather than an entire month. Obviously, this would be the only downside - the upsides would be that, well, we'd have more episodes, and the episodes themselves may even be a bit smaller. Also, if a show misses its schedule, there's less time until it can be released in the following episode. Hopefully, this shouldn't be too much of a problem, since most show-makers usually get their shows into me several weeks before the due date, anyway... I've already adjusted my South Park 3000 plan to incorporate a fourth episode for the season - moving future planned storylines back a bit, and re-arranging the season so that it can still have the finale I planned for.  Wink

I expect a large amount of voting for Four installments, which I am currently in support of, but first, I'd like to hear from show-makers. Do you support this move too, and would you have enough time to make your shows if we went with this?

Not many people participate in the contest because getting a game done so quick is awkward, and it only gets in SPGtv's way.

Four seems like a more even number than three.

Like I said in my SPGBM article, the main reasons for the second contest's failure were due to lack of time and lousy themes. If Prism gives people more time to enter, and we have better themes, I doubt there'll be a problem.

Anyway, it looks like four is pretty much the universal vote here with 100%, and the only two other regular show makers (IngramJ and Wormmaster) seem up for it, so I think four will be the way to go. I'll still keep this poll open a bit more, though, I'd like to hear from everyone first.  Smiley

Well, this thread's been up for almost a week now, and still no votes for three episodes. Obviously, the viewers want as much as possible, and if all the show-makers are up for doing four too, then so am I! Smiley

So, it's decided: Four it is. Thread closed, thanks to all those who voted.
