Beamer's Big Birthday BBBQOkay,
I'm doing this update on my birthday (wooo!), so I'm gonna be quick so
I can go and have fun. I DO have a life, after all... Bwahahahaha, just
kidding. Anyway, quite a lot has happened the past few days in SPG.
But, let's start with the big news:
JUNKMAN HAS RETURNED!!!That's
right, people. He's no longer the Best Retired Member, because
Maxime-us, A.K.A. Junkman, is BACK in the community. And even better -
he's already got a project going! You can see his official announcement
in
this forum thread.
In other community news, Wormmaster recently announced a new project, Kenny's Madventures. A demo of it is available
here. To read more on the game, and/or comment on it, go
directly to jail, do not pass Go, and do not collect $200.
FLOOBONGUS.
Over 'n out!

Fire Possum Chuck Norris FestHoly Refractions Batman, Lord Prism is actually updating the news!
Yes, I'm actually doing a news update.
As
some of you or atleast one (doesn't anyone remember?!?!) of you might
remember, the next South Park Game Making Contest, the 4th I count, is
about to start. However, due to the problems that have plagued contests
#2 and #3, I've ammended the rules for the next contest. They're posted
in the Contest Discussion Thread
here.
Or can be accessed
http://www.spgarchives.com/forums/index.ph...013&#entry18013 if you like to copy and paste.
Anyways,
it contains several updates mainly to deadlines and theme selection.
For example, themes will now be voted on. Please check it out and post
your thoughts.
Also, if you have any experience with paypal and the setting up thereof for prizes, please PM me.
Thank you,
Lord Prism

Awards + iSPG = AwesomeAlright,
I know they were supposed to start four days ago, but I've been very
busy lately. Anyway, without further ado, I am VERY happy to at last
announce:
THE 2006 SPG AWARDS HAVE BEGUN!
We have an
official website and a
thread
up for them with all the required information, but here's a basic
summary: Voting is now open and will run until December 15. To vote,
register at our
Forums and PM your choices to "Nominations."
Here is a list of the categories, but for more information, check out the
Awards section in our menu. They will be presented in an AIM chat on December 17, at 10:00am EST.
In
other great news for South Park Gamers, Brandon has released a beta of
his new project, iSPG, and is looking to hear your feedback from it.
You can download the beta from
nyha - and be sure to post your opinions on it in the
iSPG thread. And don't forget to vote for The 2006 SPG Awards, everyone! Over 'n out.

Get ready to Repeat This...Been
a while since our last update, and there's been some new content on the
site since then, such as an entire trilogy of parody games from
Tuninki, the "I Hate Happy Productins" series. I'm sure we're all
familiar with Happy Productins and his ridiculously badly-made games,
Tuninki's series pays a scarily accurate homage to them. Here's every
game in the series for download:
I Hate Happy ProductinsI Hate Happy Productins 2I Hate Happy Productins Gam KolektionMeanwhile, another recent member of ours, Evano, has got a brand spankin' new midi pack up in our
Game Making
section, titled "Repeat This." It contains 13 great midis, ranging in
genres, from the highly experimental to the short and comical. It's
well worth checking out for any game maker looking for music, and can
be downloaded directly from
here.
In
other news, South Park Gaming Bi-Monthly has officially been cancelled
due to a lack of submissions. It's unfortunate, I know, but we really
had no choice. For the full story, read
this
thread. Also, old-school member Brandon is working on a very cool new
project called "iSPG," which will allow SPGamers to catalogue and
access all the South Park games on their computer, in just one program!
He's currently looking for testers and general feedback, so click
nyah for more information.
On
a side note, The 2006 SPG Awards will be starting next month. There are
just a few days left of planning, so if you have any suggestions, voice
them in the Awards
Thread on our forums. They'll most likely be kicking off on December 1, so expect another update then. Over 'n out!

Spooky SPGtv, Freaky 402Happy
Halloween to all of you - and what better way to celebrate this stupid
day than with an equally stupid edition of SPGtv? That's right, the
final day of October 2006 brings us the second installment in SPGtv's
fourth season,
SPGtv 402!!! Here's a sneak-peak from its guide:

SPGtv 402's line-up consists of the following:
- SOUTH PARK STUFF (Tuninki)
- GRIDMAN'S QUEST (Beamer)
- SOUTH PARK 3000 (Beamer)
- RFI'S PLAYHOUSE (Tuninki)
- SOUTH PARK DOOM DATE (Commander Kenny)
You can download SPGtv 402 from the
New SPGtv page on the site, or by simply clicking
here if you're that damn lazy.
Please direct all comments on the show to
this thread. Click there for further information on SPGtv 402, too. Until next time: Over 'n ooooooOOOOOOooooooout!!!

Nightmares, Mutants and Reminders, Oh My!Well,
it's been a while since the last update. In that time, we've had a new
member - Tuninki - join the forums, and he's been quite the busy bee.
In just a few weeks of being here, he's already released an impressive
demo of a big project he's working on, AND has a new full game for you!
It's called Mutant Kennys attack, and it's about... well, I think you
can figure it out from the title.
Mutant Kennys attack can be downloaded from
here.
As for his bigger project, it's a spooky platformer called Towelie's
Nightmare, and it's already sparking quite a buzz over at
its thread. Tuninki has released a rather enjoyable demo of it, which you can download by clicking on
this link (feel free to discuss it in the game's thread, too).
Finally, before I go, I'd just like to mention that SUBMISSIONS FOR SPGtv 402 CLOSE ON
OCTOBER 29.
You have just four (or, in some timezones now, three) days to finish
your shows and submit them in. Also, we need some content for our
upcoming South Park Gaming Bi-Monthly issue (namely a demo and a
preview), so if you can help out with that, please let us know in
the planning thread. SPGtv 402 should be out on Halloween if all goes to plan, so until then, over 'n out!

Yiddles and other bitsHey hey hey. Just a little update today - for those who haven't seen it already, we have a new
review contest
going. All you have to do is post a review on the forums, submit it in
the contest thread, and whichever one Wormmaster and I judge to be best
will win an advanced copy of the first episode of the long-awaited
SPGtv show, SPG Survivor. Here's a preview of this neat little prize to
get your creative juices flowing:

ALL
entrants will recieve a point for each review they write, and a
sneak-peak scene of the upcoming South Park 3000 episode. The contest
ends on
June 16, so you've still got over a week to submit a review.
In
the meantime, we're also planning the next issue of South Park Gaming
Bi-Monthly, so if you'd like to help out, please let us know in
this thread. Over 'n out, yiddles!

A miracle is upon us...After
almost two years of having it as a broken link, I have some incredible
news: THE GAME MAKING SECTION IS FINALLY UP!!! That's right, people,
for anyone interested in making games, getting resources for game
making or just brushing up on their skills, we have an entire section
up for you
here.
Split into utilities, graphics, sounds, MIDIs, tutorials and links.
Some sections are a little empty at the moment, but rest assured, now
that they're finally up, I expect they'll get considerably bigger and
more in-depth as time passes. So, what are you waiting for? Check it
out! There's some great new content in there, too!
On a side
note, it is now June 1, which means our Point contest is over. Members
on the forum were competing to earn Points (by writing reviews,
submitting content, etc.), and whoever had the most at the start of
June would win an advanced copy of South Park 3000's upcoming episode,
401: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. Rodrinator was
in the lead for a very long time, but after coming back strong with
three reviews in one night, the new leader, and the winner of the
prize, is...
Wormmaster! Congratulations Wormy, enjoy the show.
Finally,
a big thanks to Spratt, Knuckles Owns GC and RFI for their updates.
Three updates in a row not done by me? Now THERE'S the miracle! Anyway,
please let us know what you think of the Game Making section, we'd love
to hear your feedback. Over 'n out!

New Contest, anyone?Hey,
South Park Gamers. The topic title didn't lie, Lord Prism's South Park
Game Making Contest is back with a third installment. Check out the
information and details
here.
On a related note, discussion about the possibilty of real South Park
merchandise (DVDs, plushies...) as prizes for the contest has been
conducting as of late. Want to see what others have to say? Want to
speak your mind?
Here's the thread to do so in.
Here's to a new Game Making contest, and hopefully it will be a bit more well-recieved than the last. Until next time...

Demo Alongside Announcements.Greetings,
comrades. Today marks a date in which I, RFI, post an update regarding
the current events of the South Park Gaming Archives. It's a rather
small update however, but still, glorious on all aspects.
Community
member, Wormmaster, has recently released a demo of his upcoming game
"The Land of Stickmen: Episode 2 - Kyle's Revenge" Despite the fact
that Wormmaster is relatively new to creating games, he has shown skill
through this demonstration in which you take on the role of Kyle in
attempts to seek payback on the mysterious stick men who have viciously
robbed you of your friends. Where do you go from there? Find out more
in
this thread. If you would rather try it out now, then
on; SPG Archives will soon miraculously unveil it's Game Making page
within a timely two weeks. Yes, "OMFG" were the words that came out of
my mouth as well. This page will offer much support for anyone hoping
to create games with various Clickteam programs.
Members can
also anticipate the upcoming Game Making Contest. What will the next
themes be? What innovations can we expect to see? Who will be the
victors? Find out as announcements shall be made soon.
If you've
little to do after Wormmaster's demo and you're waiting for the page
and contest, be sure to leave a chapter in the Never Ending Story
here. (Sorry. Forum members only. Perhaps you should join)
I conclude this update with a simple good bye.
Farewell for now.

UpgradedHey everyone. The
forums are now back here at home.
I have also upgraded us to the newest version of IPB, which I purchased. There are tons of new features, enjoy them.
There
will be plenty of broken links between the site and forums, and
possibly within the forums themselves. So please be patient with the
staff as we work to get everything back to normal, it should only be a
few days.
